20 C barrier broken

Today was the first day above 20 C this year, with the temperature topping out at 23.4 C around 5 PM. Looking at the station archives back to 2004, this date is fairly late for the first warm day of the year. The earliest was in 2007 when the first few days of April were unusually warm, while in 2005 we had to wait until the beginning of June. If the forecast is to be believed, however, the warm weather won't last; they are predicting a return to below normal temperatures, with the possibility of some frost, next week. We will see.
