A bit more thunder

This afternoon, Monifieth had a proper thunderstorm, with some lightning to go with it. It wasn't really dramatic as thunderstorms go, since there wasn't much rain to go with it, but it was still impressive while it lasted.

One odd effect, which could have been coincidence, was that when one of the peals of thunder hit, I happened to be looking out my living room window, where a small spider (one of the spiral web variety) had set up house. When the thunder hit, the spider came rushing out onto its web. Maybe the vibration from the thunder fooled the spider into thinking a meal had arrived. It seemed to wander about for a bit and then went back into its corner in disgust.
