OK, somebody has to write an antidote to these weather forecasters who orgasmify over hot, sunny weather. I hate it; I always have and I always will. And I'm not alone. There is nothing enjoyable about sweating, skin cancer or sleepless nights.
Having got that out of the way, I can now report that we've had the hottest day since August 2006, as the temperature peaked at 26.3 C today. Although it wasn't an all-time station record, it was a record high for the month of May.
Before the warmist alarmists start bleating on about global warming, I will quote their favourite phrase back at them: "weather is not climate" and point out that (if the forecasts are true), we are due to return to more sensible and liveable temperatures in the next week. And, oh yes, despite the hot weather of the last couple of days, May is *still* a degree below normal for this weather station. Let's hear it for some blustery, cool winds and some healthy downpours. Bring it on.
