Things have warmed up a bit from the frosty conditions we were experiencing recently, and if the forecasts are to be believed, the next 2 or 3 days might see the first day this year when the temperature breaks the 20 C mark. I'm not a fan of warm weather - makes me feel distinctly uncomfortable - but I suppose it would be good for the plants, who haven't been exactly bursting into life.
What we do need, however, is some rain. The back garden is looking distinctly dry, although not to the stage yet where the plants are wilting. May has been very dry so far, although you'd never know it from the weather forecasts which, as usual, continue to report any possibility of rain as a "threat". I really wish they would realize that there are a lot of us who have no desire to contract skin cancer from an over-abundance of solar radiation.
