June has been a very dry month, with only 16 mm of rain so far. Now that we are officially into summer and the daylight hours are decreasing once more, the temperature has increased somewhat in the last week or so with daily highs hitting the high teens or even 20 or 21 C occasionally, so that the average temperature for June looks set to come out around normal as we head into the last 5 days of the month.
But rainfall is something that would be very welcome, since we haven't had any for about 2 weeks (which isn't a lot of time by Arizona standards I suppose, but for Scotland, it's an age) and the gardens are looking a bit dry, although there are no signs yet of browning grass and wilting plants.
Besides I like rain at any time of year.
