Halfway in 2010

Hard as it is to believe, that's 2010 half gone. The year to date has been by far the coldest first six months recorded at the Monifieth weather station, which has been running for almost seven years now. June warmed up a fair bit in the last couple of weeks, resulting in the first 'above average' monthly temperature for the past 12 months. What was notable about June 2010 however was the lack of rain.

July has started with a fairly dull first day, but the much-promised 'heavy rain' has yet to materialize. We've had only a few spots, which isn't enough to do the gardens much good, but is just enough to make the air feel humid and sticky. Roll on autumn.
